Brokenness is a beautiful thing.
I think that I might even like it better than being whole, because it shows progress and makes room for new beginnings. Being broken allows you to feel things and discover things you never would have found if it weren’t for the new view that comes with the cracks formed as you begin to break.
We are constantly being broken and restored.
While it is a beautiful thing to lay broken at the feet of the Father, we have to be restored in order to help carry other people’s broken parts to our Healer. But soon,
we will be broken again
in order to be re-built.
to be renewed.
to be better prepared for the things God has in store for us in the future. So Lord, when we are content, rob us; when we are comfortable, shake us; and when we are
willing,
humbled,
and broken
begin to mold us into the people You created us to be.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
