End Of Beauty

About: "But beauty, real beauty, ends where an intellectual expression begins. Intellect is in itself a mode of exaggeration, and destroys the harmony of any face." - Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

Maybe the most beautiful things are the ones no one can express.
Beautiful

So for my first post, I figured I would explain what the meaning of the title of this blog is. End Of Beauty. In the quote I posted, Oscar Wilde is talking about how real beauty is lost when we as humans try to express it; that really, the most beautiful things can not be expressed by us as humans;

that some things are so beautiful, that it is beyond human ability to express them.

If a person can even begin to think of how to express something, it’s beauty has already started to fade.

Think about it.

Have you ever been so overjoyed or excited about something that you felt like you literally could not express the way you felt to another person? Maybe it was a time that you felt incredibly sad. Maybe it was a really significant moment. Maybe it was a really insignificant moment. Whatever the case, you couldn’t express it. You know why? Well, I think it was

because it was beautiful.

I see Your face in every sunrise.

The colors of the morning are inside Your eyes.

The world awakens in the light of the day.

I look up to the sky and say,

You’re beautiful.

I see Your power in the moonlit night

Where plants are in motion and galaxies are bright.

We are amazed in the light of the stars.

It’s all proclaiming who You are.

You’re beautiful .

I see you there hanging on a tree.

You bled and then You died and then You rose again for me.

Now You are sitting on Your heavenly throne.

Soon we will be coming home.

You’re beautiful.

When we arrive at eternity’s shore,

Where death is just a memory and tears are no more.

We’ll enter in as the wedding bells ring.

Your bride will come together and we’ll sing.

You’re beautiful.

- Beautiful, Phil Wickham

Our God is so big, we can’t imagine him. Our God is so strong, we can’t withstand him. Our God is so loving, we can’t resist him. Our God is so infinite, we can’t fathom him.

Our God is beautiful.
